Huma Din, LMFT

I was raised in the Seattle area and now live on the east side with my husband and three children.

I’ve been involved in the local Muslim community in various ways since my youth. My experience as a second generation Muslim American led me down my professional path as a Marriage and Family therapist and my interest in working within the Muslim community.

My goal in therapy is to promote the growth and well-being of couples, individuals, and families who seek help for difficult, stressful situations, or new transitions in life.  I work through a strength-based, relational, client-centered approach, and multicultural lens. I see individuals as the leader in the therapeutic process. This provides the framework to work together to create tools that can bring the individual with awareness to their thought process, feelings, and behavior. By using the individual’s language, positive talk, and focusing on strengths, we can create effective ways to approach stressors in life and create the positive change that is desired.

Experience & Education

I hold a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology with a focus in Couple and Family Therapy. I am a trained facilitator in Prepare/Enrich, a couples strength and growth area assessment approach that helps to identify and manage stressors, strengthen communication skills, and develop a balanced relationship that each individual couple desires.
